Alana was playing dodge ball with a few best friends and she got hit in the back of the head and was very sick from that so we took her to her doctor and they diagnosed her with an concussion. She was bed ridden for about 3 weeks with vomiting, very bad headaches and just didn't feel good at all! So after a few weeks her dad was over it and took her to get an CT scan at the local hospital and after a few hours they found a brain tumor in the penial gland and rushed her to Riley. She was suffering from hydrosefilas and got a VP shunt placement and that made her a whole new person. Then after she got a biopsy and a tumor resection. Now she has finished with radiation and is now on her 2nd cycle of chemo.
