My name is Crystal Walker. My husband Anthony and I have 3 children. A 7 yr old son and twin boys 3yrs. We live in the Dallas area and we are both working parents. Our journey with Carson (twin B) begain late last year. It began when Carson started to throw up in the car every morning on the way to daycare. Well my husband and I thought he was carsick so we took breakfast with us and would feed him in the parking lot along with his twin in the car before school. That seemed to solve the problem but it always would come back after some time. Right before Thanksgiving he had another spell so we took him to the emergency room. They claimed he had a stomach bug. He had no fever, the only symptom was throwing up. The week of Christmas 2017 he had another episode. this time worse. He was throwing up so much that he was starting to lose weight. We took Carson to the emergency room. they ran every test imaginable. The only thing they came up with was that he was constipated. And that was why he was throwing up. We were there for a week. Everything started looking up but his throwing came back again out of the blue in February 2018. Again they claimed it was a stomach bug. He had no fever just the throwing up. The last time he had an episode was May 29 2018. Frustrated, I told myself I wasn't leaving the hospital until they found out something because my husband and I both knew something wasn't right. On the way to the hospital I prayed "God please let them find something, good or bad so at least we can fix it". That day changed our lives. Dr. Thom, the only doctor that asked for a cat scan found the mass in Carsons brain. Its been a rollercoaster since then with appointments, surgeries, biopsies, evaluations, and now radiation treatments followed by chemotherapy. My husband and I thank God everyday for the victory of finding Carsons tumors because we know this is a testimony for other families. Carsons radiation is 5 days a week for 6 weeks and concentrating on him, his needs and our 2 other children are our top priority. He has two full weeks left of radiation and will start chemo in November. He does attend a mother’s day out during the week but when chemo starts we will have to pull him out temporarily and I will have to home school him until afterwards. We appreciate your time and thank you for your consideration.
