Matthew is a three year old happy boy! He has two older siblings and a hardworking mama. He had been sick for about a month; his mama had taken him to the doctor a few times and finally decided to take him to CHLA. Within hours they were able to diagnose his condition and began chemo the very next day. Matthew is now undertaking chemotherapy via a PICC line once a week along with a plethora of daily meds. Doctors have been struggling with getting his platelets and WBC to an adequate range but his immunity is too low right now. They estimate he will be undergoing treatment for three years. We have faith and hope that he will survive this and want to lift his spirits every chance we get! <3
