Mela was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma on July 14th, shattering our whole entire world. She is the brightest light, even on the darkest of days. She will do anything to make someone smile and continues to be the most grateful and gentle soul even when she’s feeling the worst.
Mela loves anything learning, especially on the dry erase boards at the hospital. Her favorite books are the I-spy books and Wacky Wednesday. She LOVES to be outdoors: swinging, riding her bike, swimming, or kayaking. She’s very much a people person, always wanting friends to play with!
Since her diagnosis she has spent the majority of the time in the hospital. She has completed 5/6 chemo treatments and a tumor resection. After chemo is completed, she will complete a tandem stem cell transplant, 14 radiations treatments, and 7 months of immunotherapy. If it all stays on track without any complications, she will complete her treatment in December of 2021.
