Kellan is in active treatment for very high risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He was diagnosed on April 15, 2019 and started treatment that week. He will continue treatment until August 2022. We are currently on a hold for his ANC to recover before starting a very intense phase (Delayed Intensification). Kellan is very shy. He is our first child so he’s learned to be quite independent. We were nervous about the first day of preschool but he blew us away...There were no tears, no anxiety, no fight. He absolutely loves school and was devastated that he had to stop due to treatment. He loves to learn new things and totally into geography right now. He’s talked about the different places he wishes to visit in all parts of the world. He knows more US capitals and countries of the world than me!
