On January 15, 2015, our lives were forever changed. Our precious, then, 2.5-year-old twin daughter, Calista Hope, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). We thank God for Calista's healing, as we know that she is healing as we speak. Cali has a wonderful, rambunctious twin brother, Li'l Iz, as well as two wonderful Ates (big sisters), Ate Naiya & Ate Adrael. We are surrounded by an outpouring of love, hope, faith, prayers, and positive energy every second of the day, and words cannot describe just how grateful we are for this. On February 17th, our warrior princess was declared in remission! There is no evidence of disease! Thank God!!! It is a long battle ahead, but we know that our Warrior Princess will prevail! We have endure so much the last 18 months, and have 8 more months to go. Her last day of treatment will be May 29, 2017, but she will not be deemed cancer free until 2022. She will be 10 years old. Calista will have to sacrifice some of her childhood to battle this disease, but we know she will continue to beat it! No parent EVER thinks this will or can happen to their child. I stopped questioning why, and surrendered myself and family to God. Let Go and Let God. It is all in God’s hands, and with Him, ALL things are possible!
