Hannah was born at 37.5 weeks with rhabdomyosarcoma after the ultrasound tech found a mass on her spine, she was rushed to Boston children’s hospital for further tests and biopsies of the mass and we found out a week or so later that it was cancerous. The next day she was in surgery to have a central line placed into her heart and the day after that she was getting chemo to shrink the tumor to have a safer chance of surgically remove the tumor. She had surgery at the end of March which went well but they were unable to get clean margins. Hannah has been having chemo since the end of November and will be in active treatment until about mid October. She has had numerous mris and pet scans and ct scans. The latest scans were clear and we are hoping that they will continue to be that way for the rest of her life!
