Hannah was diagnosed with Telangiectactic Osteosarcoma on April 4, 2018. Hannah suddenly quit walking in February but began walking after a couple of days and again in March she would quit walking again; because of this sudden change we were doctoring for Hannah and the whole process moved very quickly. Prior to her diagnosis she had x-rays on 2 occassions, in February and again in March, a follow-up referral with an Orthopedic clinic who would order an MRI and the following week have bone biopsy. Hannah has 6 cycles of chemo treatment and as of the week of August 27th she will finish her 3rd cycle. Between cycles 2 and 3, Hannah had time off to prepare for surgery to remove her tumor and repair via allografting. Hannah also had recovery time before resuming her chemo treatment. Throughout her treatment she has had an extra hospitalization for neutropenic fever (2 days); neutropenic fever, mucusitis, RSV, low blood and platelet counts in which each required a transfusion (8 day stay); an appointment for IV fluids and an appointment for platelet transfusion due to low platelet counts and bruising. Hannah is a happy girl who loves playing with barbies, dolls, blocks, toy animals.. I guess anything that is a toy. Hannah also loves Disney and watching movies while snuggling with her mom. Wherever Hannah goes- her Finding Dory blanket goes too. She loves to dance and practices gymnastics (which actually looks a lot more like yoga) with stretches. She adores her big sister and big brother.
