Harper is a Navy kid who recently moved from Japan to Hawaii. On July 7, 2017, I took Harper to urgent care because of severe stomach pain. They suspected appendicitis & sent us to the ER, where an ultrasound showed a tumor in her abdomen. After more tests & biopsies, she was diagnosed with stage 3 rhabdomyosarcoma & began the first of 10-12 months of chemo.
