Julian is an excellent student who misses school very much. Before cancer, he played soccer, trained for American Ninja Warrior, and loved the outdoors including: fishing, camping, and canoeing. He also enjoys playing video games like Minecraft, and is a big Lego fan.
October 20, 2020 turned our world upside down, he was diagnosed with AML at MUSC Children's Hospital in Charleston, SC. That same day he was hospitalized and the journey started. He went through four round of chemo, each time 4-5 weeks of inpatient and 3-4 days at home. He did his best being in a room with so little to do, but it was difficult. Every time he stayed in the hospital, it meant he had to be away from Dad and his siblings. In February, Julian had a bone marrow transplant. He had complications that kept him in the hospital until April when he was able to leave the hospital, but not go home yet. Once Julian is released, he will get to do weekly visits. He can’t wait until he is all done and can go camping at Mount Pleasant.
