Anthony was diagnosed at 14 years old, he was an extremely athletic child, with a passion for soccer. He played on two soccer teams and during the season played 6 out of the 7 days of the week. What started out as knee pain quickly became crippling leg pain to the point where he could barely move. On July 29th 2017 we got the diagnosis. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, because of his age and being chromosome iamp21 positive, it automatically makes him very high risk. Not many people realize treatment for this kind of leukemia for boys is 3 1/2 to 4 years. Anthony would have been entering high school, instead has been doing his work from home, away from friends. He is responding well to treatment and continues to be victorious against it everyday. Anthony will mot be finished with his treatment until the end of year 2020, we do everything we can to keep his mind off it.
