Avi, a popular, smart, athletic boy was diagnosed on February 14th, 2014. He spent the first weeks in the PICU. He then had a very rare complication that left him without an esophagus. He now gets fed via G-tube. He has a hole on the side of his neck, covered by a bag. When he drinks or swallows, it all comes out of the hole. He is upbeat , positive and inspires everyone around him. Avi is an avid sports fan. He roots for the NY Yankees, the NY Knicks, the NY Rangers and the Denver Broncos.
