My son, Isaiah, has been fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia since Feb 2017. He still has a year left in his treatment, then will have ongoing appts to check labs for signs of relapse for the rest of his life, plus any needed therapy for long term side effects of the chemo. He's a happy boy, despite all he's been thru and definitely my little hero! Isaiah struggles immensely at each appt when it comes time to access his port and when the child life specialist is there, she often helps distract him with her ipad. Unfortunately, she can't be at every appt, so I'm nominating Isaiah because I truly think this would be a huge help in getting thru some of his hardest days.
