Rally behind Emery

Emery was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a rare and aggressive brain tumor located in the pons of the brainstem, on July 13, 2026.

But Emery is so much more than his diagnosis. He is a bright, kind, funny, hardworking 13-year-old who loves robotics, STEM, superheroes, and dreaming big—especially about one day attending MIT to become a robotics engineer. As the oldest of four, he has always been a natural role model: responsible, thoughtful, easygoing, and the kind of kid who quietly makes the people around him better. Since his diagnosis, Emery has faced more than any child ever should, yet he continues to show an incredible strength and determination that inspires everyone who knows him.

- Comics & Animation: Invincible and Adventure Time

- Playing Piano: Music is something he enjoys both listening to and making himself

- Engineering & Robotics: He loves figuring out how things work, building things, solving problems, and dreaming up what he could create next

- LEGO: Building, designing, and creating with LEGO

- STEM: Anything involving science, technology, engineering, and innovation

- Soccer: Playing and enjoying the game

- Fantasy & Worldbuilding: Stories, characters, creatures, and entire worlds he can get lost in

More than anything, Emery loves creating, imagining, learning, and figuring things out. Whether he’s building with LEGO, designing something in his head, playing piano, getting lost in an anime, rolling dice in D&D, or talking about robotics, he has always had a mind that wants to understand how things work—and then imagine how he could make them even better.
